Children’s Health in Lab and Life (CHiLL) is designed to investigate how physical activity during the preschool age can affect mental health later in life.
We are looking for kids ages 3-5 and parents who are willing to visit the lab for 2 hours, and have the child wear an activity tracker for a week while the parent answers questions on a free app on their phone. To see if you’re eligible for the study, please contact Alex at 314-747-6148 or alexpuricelli@wustl.edu. For more information about the study, check out our website: https://dianawhalen.wixsite.com/chillstudy
What to Expect
Parent participants will be interviewed and fill out questionnaires. Child participants will wear an activity tracker and play computer games while having an EEG. Then, the child will wear the activity tracker for a week while the parent answers questions on their phone through a free app a few times a day. Participants must drop off the activity tracker at the lab after a week (no appointment needed). Participants will be contacted 18 months later for a follow-up lab visit and week of collecting data.
Compensation
Participants will be compensated $50 for the first lab visit and $50 at the return of the activity tracker after a week (total of $100).
