Children’s Moods and Emotions Study — Genetic Component

We are currently collecting genetic information from children who previously participated in our longitudinal study of children’s moods and emotions. To do this, we are asking children to provide a saliva sample during one of their scheduled assessments. Using the saliva, DNA is extracted for specific genetic information of interest. It is our hope that by collecting this information we can identify specific genes that may be associated with risk for emotional disorders in children.Participation involves the child spitting into a tube until enough saliva as been collected.

We are not currently enrolling for the NARSAD Genetic Study.
